Mark + Kelly: Downtown LA Night Session

When Mark asked his best man for a wedding photographer referral, he told him Nathan Nowack.  When Kelly asked her friends about a wedding photographer, a co-worker mentioned Nathan Nowack.  Needless to say, they were both a little surprised when they came back to each other with the same name referred to them, as was I.  This just proves that it truly is a small world.

And I couldn’t have been happier that both Kelly and Mark were referred to me, as both of them two are awesome capture.  Ready for fun photos, willing to try something new, interest in artistic photos, and giving it their all during this more difficult night time engagement session in downtown Los Angeles.  A friend of mine gave us access to the Eastern Columbia Lofts with amazing views of downtown and the beautiful sunset that was underway.  We jumped right into the photos, taking ones with these amazing natural backdrops.  Mark and Kelly were perfect models, looking at each other, at the camera, doing their own thing while I just snapped away.  It was perfect.  As the night continued to get darker, we found other fun spots and even went inside for a few shots.  Then down to Waterworks in downtown, finding fun locations around the black night sky with only the lights around us to illuminate the backgrounds.  We even experimented with a few long exposures as a bus drove by.  It was a night of fun and art.  I thank Karin for lending us the great location and to Mark and Kelly for being themselves.  I can’t wait to capture your wedding tomorrow, which will undoubtedly be just as amazing!
