As I walked up to Denise and Jonathan they quickly smiled as we met for the first time. We had done all our transactions over email and phone, and now I could see their smiling faces, ready for their engagement session, ready to be affectionate, and ready for fun. With their friends along for extra security, we walked around the gardens getting a few shots they had requested earlier. They were naturals, smiling, taking direction, and getting close to show their love. These are the sessions that make my job a delight to do.
We then headed to the Griffith Observatory for some sunset shots and cool building backgrounds. I’ve never actually captured an engagement session up there, but I’m glad I did now! It was beautiful! Even though there aren’t many trees, there’s still some shady areas out of the direct sun and still plenty of cool opportunities to capture this couple doing what they love best. We had fun with the session as the sun started to set. The colors in the sky were perfect this evening, even though it was one of the hottest days this month.
