As 14,000 people try to push into a 5,000 person capacity Hyatt Regency Century Hotel in Century City on November 4th, 2008, I have to admit to having some small butterflies in my stomach about tonight’s events. When the country’s economy, foreign relations, image, unemployment, and countless other issues are in the gutter to the point where some would say the US is in “Crisis” mode, it was a breath of fresh air as the news stations started to announce the winner for the 44th President of the United States. Although Barack Obama stories and hype have been filling the web and media all year round, I won’t go too much into detail about my feelings and thoughts here on my photo blog. Just know that I am happy, not only for Californians or for Democrats, but for the United States of America. Even if some of you don’t believe it’s a good thing, please have faith and positive thinking. Don’t turn your back on what may be the best decision we as American’s have made in this last decade! We can’t afford to let our country fall into a depression, or be viewed as that pretentious neighbor, or fall victim to arrogance. Just like any religion, we need to have Faith, Hope, and Love. Thanks to everyone who helped make history.
